Royal Caribbean owns its very own private island in The Bahamas, called Cocoa Cay, that you can visit if you go on a Bahamian Cruise with them! Cocoa Cay is filled with all the thrills, adventure, and rest and relaxation to please any traveler.

The best part? Almost all experiences on the island are included in your initial cruise fare, meaning you can visit this port-of-call without paying anything additional! Enjoy complimentary dining, pools and beaches, sports courts and beach games, and beach chairs and umbrellas. Everything you need to enjoy a day on the island is available to cruise guests.

Your beverage package is also valid on Cocoa Cay, meaning any drinks that you can get on the ship as a part of your package are also available on the island!

Cocoa Cay is made up of several different neighborhoods, each with their own perks and activities to enjoy.

Hideaway Beach

Hideaway Beach is an adults-only beach paradise. Enjoy the swim-up bar, beachside DJ, lounge in the cabanas, or fuel the fun with tasty pizza, hamburgers, shrimp baskets, and fresh salads.

Oasis Lagoon

Take a dip in the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean. Sip your favorite drinks with the swim-up bar, lounge by the pool, or enjoy fun with the whole family.

South Beach

The south side of the island offers family fun with beach volleyball, basketball, and yard games. Splash around in the ocean, lounge in one of the private cabanas, or get a snack at the Snack Shack just steps away.

Chill Island

Enjoy the tropical ocean and soft sand in this relaxation spot. Take your whole crew for laid back and chill vibes, while still providing plenty of fun for the adventure seekers. Take a jet ski, paddle board, or snorkel among the sea creatures.

Splashaway Bay

Upon arrival, enjoy the free waterpark that provides plenty of fun. Get drenched with buckets, water sprayers, fountains, and waterslides. The whole family can have fun without paying an additional fee.

Thrill Waterpark

Looking for a little more adventure? You can pay to access the tallest slide in the Caribbean, dropping 135 feet down a rushing waterslide. Try the seven other slides to get your heart rate pumping. This park is perfect for adrenaline junkies, looking for some exciting thrills, drops, and slides.

Up, Up and Away

Soar above the crowds and get a birds eye view of the tropical island. Take a ride in an exclusive hot air balloon, feeling the sun and wind on your face as you take in the beauty of the Caribbean.

One of my absolute favorite parts about Cocoa Cay is the accessibility for all. Whether you have a hard time getting around or you are lugging around beach totes and kids, the island has a shuttle that can get you around more easily. Hop aboard, and it takes you around the whole island, stopping at all of the neighborhoods for you to enjoy. This makes getting around and enjoying the whole island a possibility.

Overall, I love Cocoa Cay. You will definitely have the Perfect Day at Cocoa Cay. It is the perfect stop for the whole family, and you can enjoy excursions, food, fun, and beverages without paying anything additional from your cruise fare. What other shore excursions can say the same thing?
